The problem:
One of the most common issues with USB drives is file corruption. The default file system (exFat) allows for the widest range of compatibility, but it also makes USB drives prone to file corruption.
Our copiers (and the majority of all enterprise copiers) also use this filing system.
The solution:
1.) Make sure you keep always keep a copy of the original files on your laptop.
2.) Avoid working on files directly from your USB drive, such as editing documents or photos on them without first moving the file to your computer
3.) If your USB drive becomes corrupted, you can reformat the drive and then copy the files back over. This will delete all of the files you have stored on the USB drive, but it will restore functionality. Please reference the additional guide below on how to reformat a USB drive.

*Be sure to choose exFat when it prompts you to choose a file system format.
